OpenAI announced the acquisition of Torch Health in an all-equity transaction valued between $60 million and $100 million.
Torch Health offers a digital health data platform, described as a “Context Engine” or “medical memory,” that acts as a unified data layer, aggregating fragmented data from clinical records, lab results, medications, and wearable devices into one profile.
“I can’t imagine a better next chapter than to now get to put our technology and ideas in the hands of the hundreds of millions of people who already use ChatGPT for health questions every week,” Torch CEO Ilya Abyzov wrote in a post on X.
