Lotus Health is building an AI doctor that functions like a real medical practice, equipped with a license to operate in all 50 states in the U.S., malpractice insurance, HIPAA-compliant systems, and full access to patient records.
Since AI models are also prone to hallucinations, the startup always has board-certified human doctors from top health institutions such as Stanford, Harvard, and UCSF review the final diagnoses, lab orders, and medical prescriptions.
Digital health companies have secured more than $170 billion in venture capital funding to date, according to the latest funding data compiled by Digital Health Funding. More recently, Midi Health, the fastest growing women’s telehealth company, raised $100 million in its latest Series D funding at a $1 billion valuation.
