SimpliFed Raises $4 Million in Early-Stage Funding

SimpliFed, a New York-based provider of virtual maternal healthcare service, including virtual breastfeeding and baby feeding support fully covered by your health plan, raised $4 million in early-stage equity funding.

Morningside led the investment round with participation from The Artemis Fund, Cultivation Capital, American Heart Association Social Impact Funds, The Venture Collective, Empire State Development, and Waterline Ventures.

SimpliFed, in an official press statement, said that it plans to use newly acquired funds to further advance its latest technology platform that helps care providers to deliver virtual maternal care services, offering breastfeeding and baby feeding support and high-risk monitoring covered by health plans at no cost to families.

“Over the past decade, the rate of Postpartum Depression and Preeclampsia has doubled, and still only 25% of women are reaching baby feeding medical recommendations alongside their personal goals. The health and well-being of a parent is deeply connected to baby feeding and yet they are always treated in silos. That’s why we are steadfastly dedicated to changing the model and wrap each family in complete care,” said Andrea Ippolito, CEO and Founder of SimpliFed.
